Building Erotic Community
—A Participatory, Peer-led Learning & Play Event
Workshops, Play Parties, Community Building, Camp Out….Come for all 5 days or Pick & Choose Days.
Do you dream of a group of intimates and peers who practice together? A consistent, reliable, and safe community in which to play, experiment, make mistakes, find support, grow? A place for closeness, touch, intimacy, and ecstatic engagement? Many of us have explored the path of sacred sexuality alone or with another. But what does an intimate, erotic, and sensually engaged community look like?
Using the vision of a decentralized, egalitarian, self-responsible erotic community as a guide, we offer a five day exploration into the building of and belonging to this sacred container. This is a creative experiment composed of multiple presenters all with a focus on sacred sexuality and informed by embodiment, trauma and attachment awareness, repair models, and conscious relating.
We will practice rituals that utilize erotic energy, sensual touch, meditation, communication, and a focus on deepening our ability to generate, integrate and absorb erotic life-force energy. The goal is for transpersonal erotic freedom, personal and collective trauma healing, and pleasure-based bonding. We invite you to play at your level of comfort, to find your desires and boundaries.
Think of this as a gathering of friends. A gathering of tribe. This is less of workshop and more of a skill share and community building experience. Inspired by Robert Silber’s visit to Asheville, we’ll focus on his rituals in the evenings and co-facilitation in the mornings and then have educational offerings from the community in the afternoons.
This is a sex-positive, touch-positive, community building event. Every participant is welcome to choose their level of engagement in any moment.

Attendees:
- All intermediate and advanced students of conscious sensuality/sexuality are welcome.
- Joining this event requires a combination of self-selecting (you decide upon reviewing this material if the event is right for you) as well as a team vetting component (see next steps).
- All genders, sexual orientations, and expressions welcome. In fact this event is supportive of all expressions of human sexuality. We actively encourage engagement between same and opposite genders throughout the event.
- We are extra excited about folks who are living in a community or actively building erotic communities.
- Suggested prerequisites: The event team strongly suggests that folks have some kind of an embodiment practice, a familiarity and comfort with group eroticism, communication skills, self-regulation experience, witnessing capacity, emotional literacy, and an ability to be vulnerable with self and others.
- This is likely to be a small group of folks. Our best guess is roughly between 15 and 25.
Please note that this is not a therapeutic environment. It’s trauma informed and held by folks with lots of experience but it’s lightly facilitated with the intention of peer engagement. All to say that this is not a guaranteed safe environment. All participants are asked to co-create the safety and resilience of the container.
Evening Rituals
Each evening a hands-on ritual will be offered and facilitated by Robert Silber. We are not sure which evening will contain which ritual because we want to feel into the group and what’s the most alive for folks. You can be surprised along with the rest of us. We will choose from the following options:
Self-Pleasure: Before we can connect erotically and sexually with others we must be able to access our own eroticism. Feeling pleasure inside ourselves without reference to others is a key to healthy sexual development. We must own our genitals, our sexuality, our pleasure without needing anyone else to do anything for us. Being witnessed in our auto-eroticism is another key rite of passage, dissolving any shame in our pleasure, our bodies, our erotic expression.
Innocent Touch ritual: As babies we explore the world, we seek to fill our senses with pleasurable experiences without reference to others. Non-verbal consent must be learned and embodied before interpersonal and verbal consent. The innocent touch ritual is a personal and transpersonal journey to repattern sexual shame, fear and grief into adult consciousness with childlike innocence. As we take responsibility for allowing only touch that feels pleasurable, we find the power and clarity to own our interactions, intimacy and sexuality with others.
Cakeshop: Becoming a sexuality empowered and present Adult. In this rite of passage ritual we speak and are witnessed in speaking our erotic desires to the object of our desire without shame. We learn the difference between speaking a desire and making a request. People learn how to take without shame and hold their boundaries with clarity and ease as well as enjoying the pleasure of being taken from with clear consent. This is a key ritual to dissolve the drama triangle of victim/perpetrator/savior.
Ceremonies of Power: Once people have awareness of their growth edges and challenges, they can create rituals designed to heal, re-pattern and create more space for pleasure and presence. We will introduce the concepts and you will have an opportunity to practice creating your ceremonies of power in the open temple play spaces.
Evening Hang Outs
Evening hangouts run from 9:30 to 11:30.
There will be three spaces for the hangouts. We are loosely using these Tantra terms to describe the spaces we will be inhabiting.
- White – A neutral place for connecting, hanging out, and engaging outside of sensual or sexual contact.
- Pink – A place for a wide range of connection including sensual and sexual within the parameters that panties/underwear stay on.
- Red – Any and all kinds of consensual intimate engagement is welcome here.

Afternoon Educational Offerings
These educational offerings are in process. They are subject to change–both the subject and the presenters. This is a rough outline and lineup based on what we know now (mid-June). Stay tuned and be prepared for the mystery!!!
Julia Taylor | Friday, 2:30-6pm | Foundations of Repair: Explore the key elements and foundational building blocks of successful relational repair; what works, what doesn’t, and what skills and tools can help us track what is needed to move towards authentic repair. How do we do this well in community; with ourselves, our intimates, and community members? How do we as community organizers, leaders and members hold repair, accountability and response-ability? How can we build skills and set up systems that better support relational growth and repair rather than perpetuate continued unresolved harm and disrepair. Come ready to engage with body, mind, and soul; to move and be moved; to feel, explore, discuss, reflect; to practice and to play! |
Hannah Borababy | Saturday, 2:30-6pm | Mary Magdalene Sex Magic. Magdalene Sex Magic draws on the ancient mythos of Isis and her high priestess Mary Magdalene to awaken our ancient re-membrance of our own intrinsic divinity. Using story as our guiding template, we will celebrate Mary Magdalene’s feast day by harnessing sensual life force energy to bring all parts of ourselves into wholeness and direct our orgasmic potential through synchronized practice & group ritual with the intention to bring profound healing to ourselves, our lineages, and the Earth. |
Giles Carwyn | Saturday, 2:30-6pm | Communal Emotional Self-Regulation and Co-Regulation: A group ritual that invites us to intentionally step into and out of the five core emotions: fear, anger, grief, shame, and joy. Includes verbal sharing, mirroring, and collective embodiment of and detachment from the core emotions. |
Christina Chimera | Sunday, 2:30-6pm | Ecosexual Exploration: Drop into your animal, plant, body. Explore how your being is in partnership with this living planet with meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, and movement practices. Christina guides participants to taste their presence with this planet and all the sensations it has to offer. Participants will be invited to explore solo, in partnership, and in groups. All group explorations will be consensually cocreated to fit each participants boundaries and needs. |
Brad Leaf & Lee Warren | Sunday, 2:30-6pm | Grief & Eros: Grieving is a both a personal and collective necessity. Yet most of us grew up in a grief illiterate culture. In order to deepen with ourselves and others we must learn to sit in our sadness, sorrow, and grief. To show our true humanity to each other builds trust. And trust is a pre-requisite for authentic eroticism. Join us as we explore grief expression using eros as a guide. |
Robert Silber | Monday, 2:30-6pm | Holistic Bodywork: Once we have dissolved fear, shame and grief about our sexuality we have the opportunity to hold space for others to step into their power. Robert will introduce the core components of trauma-informed conscious sensuality practitioner sessions that are accessible for everyone. See the Conscious Sensuality Client Intake form as well as the Yoni Massage manual and the Conscious Sensuality book for more details (available upon registration). Meditation, intake, touch rituals will be demonstrated and practiced. |
Sarah Belzile & Xilverfox | Tuesday, 2:30-6pm | Conscious Kink: Join Xilverfox and Sarah Belzile for a three hour exploration of the healing power of kink. During our time together, we will offer an embodied experience of conscious kink. And we’ll share some specific examples of healing journeys in order to expand and inspire the possibilities of your personal soulful kink exploration.
