Support from the Seen and Unseen Realms

A perspective that loosens our fears surrounding death.

We often view life and death as separate entities, polar opposites or bookends that define our existence. However, when we shift beyond polarity consciousness, we come to realize that life and death are sacred parts of the same whole!

This is generally beyond the grasp of our “mind” and needs to be experienced with our magical, dreamtime, or infinite selves.

We are Deeply Supported in Life and in Death

Death is an invitation to keep your heart open

Blessedly, we have access to shamanic and wisdom traditions the world over that teach us about the continuities between life and death. Depending on the context, these understandings range from the shamanic “upper world” and the Christian’s version of heaven to the age-old cross-cultural reverence for ancestors and spirit allies.

The thread that runs through them all is the belief that are and have always been supported by both the seen and the unseen realms. Throughout our entire existence!

Ask most near-death-experience survivors and they’ll tell you in no uncertain terms that the unseen realms continue to hold us beyond this life into the ‘next’ world. This profound realization helps dissolve our fears surrounding death.

In fact, noticing, celebrating, and SAVORING the ways we’ve always been supported can deeply transform our experience of life. It highlights a divine orchestration at play, guiding our destiny, and shaping our journey. Much like a gratitude practice, it can significantly enhance our biochemistry and endogenous brain activity, helping us touch into the Gamma waves of unity consciousness.

Developing Rituals

Whatever our spiritual beliefs or practices, connecting with benevolent ancestors and helping spirit guides offer invaluable day-to-day support, aid in healing our lineage trauma, and connection to a sense of a larger whole. By developing rituals that connect us with these spirit allies, we deepen our relationship with these nurturing forces.

Another beautiful access to this feeling of divine support is to enhance our connection with nature. Our sacred relationship with the innate goodness that is ‘Mother Earth,’ helps us recognize that we are part of a living, breathing, sentient existence that cares for us. She has so many lessons to teach us about death as reciprocity, death as natural, and death as an integral part of the ecological and spiritual cycles of which we are inherently a part.

As we weave these spirit guides and natural connections into our daily lives, we build a support system that transcends the physical. We learn to see the unseen, to feel supported by forces beyond our immediate perception, and to trust in the journey that spans beyond the life we know now.
