The Ecstasy of Impermanence
A Journey of Delight in Existence
Tuesdays: April 15, 22, & 29, 7 – 9:15pm Eastern Time

Decondition Your Fear
of Mortality
by Tracking Pleasure
in the Body!
A Mystical Experience
Held in an awareness of soul-guided mortality, we practice death contemplation by celebrating the near impossibility of this incarnation.

And then we realize, in our own alchemical awareness that this moment is all there is, and it deserves, demands, and delights in our full attention!
Our Time Together
EACH WEEK, our time together will be split into roughly thirds and depending on the flow and needs of the experience will range and morph. the other components will adjust accordingly. Expect flexible structure and lots of experiential guidance.
Part I: Engaging the Body
(30-45 Minutes)
A gentle, body-based meditation, guided by awareness, that explores the flow of our animation through slow, intuitive movement. (Movement in this context is defined by anything that feels good to you.) Following the rhythms of your own delight and receptivity, you’ll tune into the subtle language of your body’s intelligence, awakening your divinity and a moment-to-moment unfolding luminosity. This can be done seated or lying down.
10-Minute Break

Part II: Engaging the Mystic
(30-45 Minutes)
Through heart- and soul-centered prompts, you’ll be invited into inquiry and reflection, allowing access to planes of existence often untouched by the rational mind. Journal, move, or simply contemplate as you explore the infinite within. This is a time to enter the right hemisphere’s vast, imaginal realms—a trapdoor and winding stairwell to the eternal—where images and whispers emerge to support and guide you.
10-Minute Break

Part III: Engaging the Psyche/Mind
(30-45 Minutes)
We will weave the wisdom gained from the body and mystic realms into conscious awareness. Through small group sharing and collective reflection, we’ll anchor these insights into the whole being. This process fosters clarity and grounds ecstatic experiences into tangible understanding, allowing the transformation to root deeply and sustain you on life’s journey.
Closing

NOTE: No previous movement experience is necessary but a willingness to be connected with your body, your intuition, and sense of experimentation and play are required. Folks with mobility challenges are welcome; you choose your level of engagement based on your capacity. No previous death-education courses with me are necessary but a desire to contemplate mortality is a baseline.

– Peggy Crowe

“From the opening moments of the workshop, Lee’s wisdom is apparent. Even though zoom, she connects and inspires as through she is in your room. It’s clear that she is a master of all she presents.”
– David Case
A Supportive Group Excursion
Fueled by personal presence and the potent group field….we play in the realms of bliss together.

The result is inhabiting this incarnation more fully: in body and soul. We begin to explore inside of us, the space around us, the field we inhabit together. Here there’s a whole community of people interested in what’s happening for you, because what’s happening for you is what’s happening for me. Here, unity is exquisitely tangible.
Why This Approach?
A medicine journey without an external substance.
A mystery school devoted to our highest self.
There is no information outside of ourselves that will bring us in touch with the ecstasy of impermanence. This is an inside investigation. To that end, this is a deeply personal and experiential practice. An experiment in the emergent field, a dabbling in energetic realms through the body, and an unwinding of patterns that no longer serve. We will step outside of cultural ways of learning, we will forget linearity, and we will let go of the mind’s story about life and death.
- Somatics: By following breath, sound, and slowed-down movement, we explore trust: of self, of body, and of soul, of life, and of our eventual death.
- Mystical: Through contemplation prompts, we explore how our archetypal selves dance with the mystery.
- Community: Through discussion, with aligned others, we integrate and ground our learnings into wisdom.

Through a soft awakening of our subtle energies,
this experience is designed to help us more fully inhabit our form and paradoxically touch our infinity.
Little by little we tap into our own knowing as we lean into the golden threads of self-presence-ing, self-guide-ing, and self-direct-ing through DEEP LISTENING and following the path of receptivity.
As we deepen the waves within us, we undo the knots, the contractions, the traumas, the fears. When we encounter shadows, we make space, we welcome, we lean-in, we attune, we love. We live and die to it all.
Prepare to…..

- Be with all of you–expanding your capacity for inhabiting yourself more fully.
- Receive from the intelligence of YOUR body, feel yourself as part of the infinite, and begin to trust your system.
- Experiment, play, and explore towards more gratitude and awe for your incarnation.
- Unwind, organically, and ever so gently, barriers that keep you from the rapture of aliveness.

“So many of us fill our lives being busy with supporting others. Really, we can all benefit from the experience of pausing, breathing, and being in the presence of an exceptional coach and guide. Lee’s support has helped deepen my own journey.”
– Patrick Davis

“Lee makes it easy and accessible to be in conversation about the charged subject of death, and she conveys a sense of the sacred passage of death in an entirely non-dogmatic way. I highly recommend her work to people of all ages and stages of life.”
– Robyn Lynn

“I can’t express how important this work is in all of our lives, to help reframe pain and suffering in the death space into what it is—the birth/life/death/rebirth cycle. Thank you, Lee, for your work and commitment to this important learning for all of us.”
– Sera Deva
A Somatic Exploration

Using the tools of slowing down, tracking pleasure, and gentle inquiry, this container takes us fully into this unique expression of self, this embodied moment.
The core of our work together is the wave pattern, also known as undulation, and deep internal dance of following our desires moment-by-moment. Whether you wave your entire being through the spinal movement or just your little finger, it’s all exactly and uniquely perfect. There is no prescribed movement; it all comes from within.
Hi, I’m Lee Warren
I am a death educator, somatic guide, and mystic who has spent nearly a decade teaching courses on end-of-life preparation. My work enhances death literacy and deepens familiarity with the life-death-life cycles. I love empowering people to transform fear of mortality into intimacy with existence by blending practical and mystical approaches that unravel cultural narratives around death.

Through my courses, I’ve helped HUNDREDS prepare for death—both externally and internally. This offering is a culmination of my lifelong devotion to the Tantric arts and my ongoing practice of embodied movement, contemplative inquiry, and soul-guided presence. Together, these practices act as a portal to ecstatic aliveness, immense gratitude, and radical presence.
As we play with these tools, especially in the context of life’s impermanence, we find ourselves in the IMMORTALITY OF THE MOMENT. The only way to do this is experientially. There is no access to this through the mind.
I used to believe it took weeks, months, or years of study and slow integration to truly befriend death.
But I’m leaning into the possibility of something different!
The only prerequisite for this portal is being human—AND THAT’S ENOUGH.
We’re going for it.
Because the wisdom is, always has been, and always will be….INSIDE OF US!
This practice is an invitation to touch the bliss of fully inhabiting life. It’s a CALL TO TRANSFORMATION AND TRUST. Together, we can shift the way we approach mortality—from something to avoid to a beloved teacher that draws us into VIBRANT ALIVENESS (even if we’re old, sick, or dying).
As death becomes sacred, so too does all of life.
Cost & Registration
This offering meets live online, using Zoom, on Tuesdays, April 15, 22, and 29, from 7:00 to 9:15 PM Eastern Time (GMT-4). Recordings will be emailed to participants after each session.
This experiential exploration is best live but if you need to miss week you will be able to benefit from the recording, because the group field exists in timelessness. However this journey DEMANDS your full attention and CANNOT be done with a split focus. This is an eyes-closed, on-the-mat, internal experience. Do not plan on driving or engaging with other activities during our time together (or while watching the recording).
Previous Course Attendees:
“I found this course very inspirational and practical too. In preparing to be present for my transition to a different form I plan on letting go of things and working on the needed paperwork. It stands out that this process will be smoother for both me and my family. Also, I am savoring moments of living, being more receptive and present to both myself and the universe.”
“Lee is loving and very knowledgeable about the topic. The addition of her personal pictures and experiences added a great deal. Clearly she has a passion for this and it is contagious for a topic that many shy away from.”
“We all have to face our mortality and make plans for our deaths and burials, yet we all avoid it as much as possible. This was a very helpful workshop. Lee’s intention is to lay out all the practical steps and options involved, but also the more spiritual aspects of consciously choosing how one wants the dying process to go and the after death choices as well. I can’t think of a more important process to consider, and Lee provides clear and thoughtful guidance.”
“Thank you for educating me on a topic that has been in my mind and didn’t know how to approach. The information shared in the class was very useful and opens up more avenues for me to explore. It is a doorway towards reflecting on available options and choices related to end of life that is usually avoided or neglected.”
“These topics can be very difficult to face on one’s own, but in the group setting of the workshop, with Lee’s inspiring, knowledgeable, and caring guidance, they became something to become “friends” with, not to fear. Thank you!”
“This class answered alot of questions I had and didn’t know I had as well. Thank you for your time and resources Lee!”
“I have been discussing and working on End of Life issues with family & friends for many years, and after preparing all other legal documents; I now realize how vital this process of completing the Five Wishes and exploring other resources that this Workshop brought to my attention.”
“I have been discussing and working on End of Life issues with family & friends for many years, and after preparing all other legal documents; I now realize how vital this process of completing the Five Wishes and exploring other resources that this Workshop brought to my attention.”
“So grateful that this course…. got me going in the direction of death literacy. Resources presented are invaluable to open up discussions with family and friends.”
It’s always been the job of the mystics to remind us….
That the fear of death is an illusion.
That in fact, death is a friend.
That there is joy in the midst of suffering.
Frequently Asked Questions
It’s for absolutely everyone. I work with humans who die. And specifically those who are interested in reframing death as a teacher and a gift.
It is for anyone seeking a deeper connection to themselves, life, and a creative approach to considering death.
In order to settle into this course more quickly, it’s helpful to have an embodiment practice of some kind, but not necessary. Having a body is enough.
No prior experience with death education or movement practices is required—just an open heart/mind and a willingness to explore.
Yes. Yes. Yes. and Yes.
Thanks for asking!
It is not a traditional “course,” but more of an embodied encounter with the sacred and a communal experiment in transformation!
It is a guided path in somatic movement, mystical contemplation, and group field engagement. It’s a dynamic and emergent container, working with subtle energies, that is designed to help us more fully inhabit our form and paradoxically touch our infinity.
The Ecstasy of Impermanence is a live, online exploration held on Tuesday evenings (in the US) for three consecutive weeks. Each session is conducted via Zoom and includes guided practices, prompts for personal reflection, group sharing, and deep inquiry into embodied presence. You will likely be surprised how deeply we can go in an online container. Recordings will be available for those who cannot attend live, though participation is most powerful in real-time.
It might help to go back and sit with this webpage with the non-linear mind and feel how the heart and body respond. The structure to the journey is minimal and very experiential. Each week we our time together will be broken out into three parts of roughly 30-45 minutes each. Lee will guide all of these processes but with lots of time for inner exploration. This is not a traditional learning environment. If you’re soul lights up, then this might be for you.
You’ll have access to the recordings for one year. These recordings capture the energy of the group field and remain potent even when revisited later. The recordings will not include the break-out room discussions.
This is an experiential journey, so the outcomes will unfold uniquely for each participant. These are my intended outcomes for participants. Feel free to find your own wording for these experiences:
- Feel more connected to your body, intuition, and gratitude.
- Enhance your capacity to be more fully inhabited.
- Develop tools to experiment, play, and explore your aliveness.
- Unwind, very gently, barriers that keep you from trusting yourself, your life, and your death.
- Transform your fear of death into an intimate inquiry with death.
Lee Warren is a death educator, end-of-life preparation guide, writer, mystic, and community builder.
She was fortunate to learn about dying within the context of a village. Lee spent 30 years as a co-creator and resident of a rural ecovillage in Southern Appalachia, where in addition to learning about sustainable and reverential ways to engage with life, she participated in collective approaches to death-care.
Over the course of two years, from 2016 to 2018, the close-knit village of 125 people experienced the decline and death of six members ranging in ages from 2 to 98. These deaths, and the generous people who experienced them, offered an incredible opportunity to reweave a more holistic approach to end-of-life than the one generally offered to us. The outcome of stewarding those deaths, together as a community, including after-death care, home funerals, and home burials, was life changing and heart opening for all involved.
As a result, Lee helps folks who are engaged in a death and dying process, for themselves or a loved one, who are confused about end-of-life options and isolated in their decision making, to overcome their fear of death by being both internally and externally prepared. She is a huge advocate for a more death literate, death informed, death accepting, and death positive worldview which ultimately leads to a profound trust of the life/death/life mysteries.
Her forthcoming book, Village-Based Death and Dying, provides a rare glimpse into the once-ubiquitous practice of communal approaches to decline, death, and post-death ceremonies, embedded in the communal web of care that nourishes these processes. Lee invites readers into a bold reimagining of life’s most profound transition, offering tools, stories, insights, and suggestions for creating community-centered approaches to death. While inspired by her experiences in an intentional village, the principles in this book are universally relevant—whether practiced within families, among friends, or in existing communities of all shapes and sizes.
Ultimately Lee is committed to regenerating the wisdom that allows for us ALL to “return to the village.” The village is a metaphor for the collaborative and inclusive systems that move us towards more supportive, coherent, and integrated ways to live and to die. This course is an opportunity to tap into that village and tune into what we can create together.
Not at all. This is about deeply listening to your self. The exploration is designed to meet you where you are. The practices are intuitive and self-directed and very slow moving, allowing you to move at your own pace. The wave patterns of movement are available in any position and the goal is to listen to and follow your inner guidance. I create a space for an inquiry and you get to choose your level of depth and engagement.
Unlike traditional death education, which often focuses on logistical preparation, The Ecstasy of Impermanence invites you into a deeply personal and mystical exploration. This journey brings us into the present moment through embodied movement, mystical inquiries, and gentle conversations to help you experience that “you have everything you need to die and to live”—not just understand it intellectually.
No special equipment is required. You’ll need a comfortable space to sit or lie down, a journal for reflection, and access to Zoom. No prior experience with movement, meditation, or death contemplation is necessary—just a willingness to show up fully.
While attending live is recommended to fully experience the group field and shared energy, recordings of each session will be available for one year. These recordings retain the potency of the practices and group connection minus the conversation.
Yes, this practice can be profoundly supportive for those grieving or navigating their own mortality. Ideally you will have a diverse and grounded support system outside of this container, but here the guidance is gentle and allows for deep, personal exploration. If you’re in a particularly tender space, you’re encouraged to engage with the material at your own pace and capacity and seek support from your own circle of care.
The body is a portal to wisdom, and pleasure is a pathway to aliveness. By engaging the body through gentle, intuitive movement, we bypass the limitations of the mind and access a deeper, more mystical understanding of ourselves and find more regulation around life’s impermanence.
Resistance is a natural part of this process and often signals a meaningful area to explore. This experiment creates an exploratory and compassionate container for you to meet that resistance gently and with curiosity. The journey is one of invitation, not force.
