It is the synthesis of three things:

1. Land-based reverence
2. Inner-world cultivation
3. Community engagement

Our region, maybe more than any other place in the world embodies these things. It is a collective of people who embody these values. While there are many expressions, approaches, worldviews, and patterns that these take and a variety of different subgroups that espouse these values, the result is the same: 

integrated and alive people wanting a new world and doing what it takes to create it.

During these weeks of recovery from what some are calling the worst natural disaster the US has known, the collective has been forming: to clean up, to heal, to repair, and to grieve. Together.

This is exactly what we’ve envisioned, what we’ve prepared for, and who we’ve trained to be. This tragedy has actually given us an opportunity to see our community members as models and leaders for a new way of being in the world. This is the place to keep an eye on for what’s coming. 

We’ve coming to know, deep in our bones, that future is based on social capital. And on a robust network of relationships. 

We are in this together. And we are the future.
